Firewood from the forest: Bucking Wood from a White Fir Log in Hood River April 7, 2020

Hood River 2020: 3 Must See Sights

If you cannot find the Waterfront park on Google you can type in Solstice, Stoked Coffee Roasters, or Tofurkey to find the area you should head towards.  If you go to any of these on Google maps, or Apple maps for that matter you will see hopefully lots of parking and you can then take a walk around the river, get some coffee or food, let the kids play as you enjoy the view of the water, hopefully it will be a nice sunny day so you can see the surrounding beauty of the Columbia Gorge.

Relaxing Outdoor Activities in Hood River

Walking and Hiking:   This area is superb for walking and hiking.  Most of the time and year round the weather is acceptable to walk or hike just about anywhere here.  There are several reasons why it is particularly great here.  First, there are many hikes and trails to choose from, one of them being the unique walkway on the Colombia River near many great businesses.  My recommendation is to Google “Stoked Coffee Roasters” and follow your GPS to get there, park, and once there you will see activities and things for kids, a walkway along the beautiful Columbia River and places to eat and have a cup of coffee
