Hood River Bar and Grill is an excellent choice for a meal, whether you are driving through Hood River or are staying for an extended period of time I would most definitely recommend this amazing place, plus Indian Night is on Thursdays here. I took a few pictures but just wanted to share some of the amazing things you can find here on Indian Night here in Hood River, OR.

About the Hood River Bar and Grill

The Riveside Bar and Grill is located here at the Best Western Hotel here in Hood River. You may see the website here and the website is for the Hood River Inn, however, this is the local Best Western and there are two great places to eat here, the Cebu Lounge and Riverside Bar and Grill. Both places are highly recommended and as you will see they do a great job of mixing up the menu.

Inside the Riverside Bar and Grill in Hood River

Upon entering you will notice a great decor with an amazing view of the Columbia River Gorge. The inside is very well decorated and always nice low sounding music. The lighting is always very well done and the furniture is very nice as well. Usually during the day this restaurant is very well lit from the sun that comes through the big windows on the side of the restaurant. Cebu Lounge located right next to it, practically and partially in the same room is a bit more dimly lit, but the restaurant always has a perfect light source combination with both sunlight and light provided by the restaurant.

The Food on Indian Night at Riverside Restaurant

The food was amazing and I took a few photos of the menu and food. I had the shrimp curry priced at 22 dollars. Specifically it was the “Goan Shrimp Curry”, and a black tea unsweetened, but ordered light artificial sweetener with it as well. The Goan Shrimp Curry was amazing!

I could tell it had a lot of spices, but it wasn’t spicy. A perfect assortment of spices though to make it an exciting dish, but I do not feel that someone who dislikes spicy food will think that this is too hot to taste. The flavor was great, and on top of the basmati rice it was a very great meal, along with of course the great and amazing service I received from Claire who was wearing a nicely made American flag mask which contrasted her black attire very well. I was treated very well and had the permission to snap a quick picture of the bar nearby as well.

Conclusion to Indian Night

I highly recommend trying to make it to Indian Night which they have been doing for quite some time and to a great degree of success. The assortment of dishes that they can make here is something different for Hood River, especially if you love all the different spices and the skill that goes into the Indian dishes is amazing. Not since I have been to the UK have I had such great Indian food.
